Bishop Auckland College are delighted to offer
‘have a go’ sessions at this year’s Food Festival.
Meet our chef lecturer
The college has been training chefs and sous chefs for more than 30 years, providing professional training alongside cooking courses for leisure and pleasure.
Elizabeth MacIntyre
Elizabeth, who has been with the college since 2012, assessing trainee chef apprentices in their place of work and training full-time and part-time students. Elizabeth’s speciality is cake baking and decorating.
We have three different workshops showing you how to impress your friends and family as you create chocolate eggs as Easter chicks, spring lambs or Faberge Eggs.
‘Have a go’ – Easter Chick Covered Cadbury Creme Egg.
Enjoy the process of learning how to work with chocolate and color sugarpaste to decorate a Cadbury’s Creme Egg. It’s a fun way to create a delightful treat or a thoughtful gift for Easter!

‘Have a go’ – Spring Lamb Covered Chocolate Orange.
Enjoy learning how to decorate a Terry’s Chocolate Orange with sugarpaste and marshmallows to create a cute lamb, perfect for an Easter treat or gift.

Have a go’ – Faberge Style Decorated Chocolate Easter Egg
Master the technique of sugarcraft to design and embellish a Fabergé-inspired chocolate egg.
